Affect Recognition

I produced this video during graduate school, exploring the implications of affect recognition technology, which uses a person’s facial expressions to intuit their emotional state. This is used for purposes from advertising to anti-terrorism.

A mini documentary I made at The New School, exploring the growing sense of and discussion around social collapse. I look at how this sense has manifested through memes, and ask how this might be an opportunity for something better.
